From Challenge # 76  November - December 2002

Special call for: Action groups, trade unions, organizations, churches!

Sindyanna’s soap is made in Nablus, a city that has been under blockade for months. This special soap is the product of knowledge passed down for generations. Its medicinal qualities are recognized and appreciated by doctors and healers.

Israel’s re-conquest of the West Bank has created a situation where the people of Nablus cannot go to work. Producers cannot sell their goods, because all roads leading to and from the city are blocked. Curfew is imposed night and day. Many of the inhabitants have been reduced to rations of bread and water. Sindyanna is making every effort to assist by increasing sales.

As the next year approaches, Sindyanna has begun a new campaign, aimed toward institutions, labor unions and solidarity groups. For orders of 1000 bars or more, you may request a special label and/or a New Year’s greeting.
